I've got some pages that i'd like to get google to index, but for some reason they're not showing up. I've added site maps, straight html clickable navigation etc... i mean i'm sure they'll show up in time don't get me wrong. My question is - i was wondering if any of you have put "adsense for search" on new pages - and had it help facilitate those pages getting picked up / spidered / noticed by google a little bit faster? I mean, if you're pulling up the google logo off of google's server, google has to know and have a record that the page not only exists, but is getting traffic. I was just wondering if anyone has noticed whether or not this works as a means to get hard-to-spider pages listed in google. Thoughts? VG
I myself was wondering the same thing and I has started a thread on it(use search to find it). The common consensus is that it will not help pages get indexed.
cool thanks, i'll look for your thread. i'm curious if that or, for that matter, adsense for content either one helped pages get indexed. VG
For me, it didn't. I had build a pretty big site and felt that adding search box may make google to crawl/index them fast but nothing like that happened.
i've found posting links in my blogger blog to work really well at getting pages indexed.. not like 1000's of links and ping the blog as you might read elsewhere - but when new content is added to my site - I just mention it in my blog with links.
