Recently purchased a used domain ( no page rank, traffic, nor backlinks ) for the purpose of avoiding the sandbox with a new client. Being that Google is smart, will the new website/domain be penalized for changing ownership 3 times?
I am not a beiver in the "Sandbox" theorum to be honest. I have brand new, 3 week old website that is on the front page of Googles results with very limited links pointing to it. The domain is new also. I do not really understand why people blame the "Sandbox" theory for not being listed, there must be more to it. I recently spoke with a major seo advertiser about their own site, statng that it could be better optimised etc, their reply was, "We are not too bothered at the moment because the site is only a 1 and a half years old and Google will not index it until it is four years old because of the " Sandbox" system." I have another new site, 2 weeks old and will report back here after 3 weeks again to see if what happened to my first site continues with this one.
No penalty. Even better if the topic is the same. And you will hopefully avoid the sandbox which obviously does exist despite the WNNSPCK (weekly nubile no sandbox poorly chosen keywords
Is this domain indexed ?? And how old is it ?? No there is no penalty for changing ownership it doesn't matter even if it is changed hundreds of times.
But, there is a problem when you change the context or change the server and where it is based. It's like starting new, but no where near as bad a a new domain name
Oh yes...if you use an expired domain for a directory...or other topic...you'll a BIG time of sandbox...
