I'm pretty sure this is in the right place, but don't lynch me if it isn't... I really couldn't find a better forum. Anyway, I plan to setup a farm of autoblogs in a specific niche. The question is, would it be a bad idea to setup one domain and then setup each autoblog on their own subdomain? So for example if the domain is videogames.com, setting up wii.videogames.com, ps3.videogames.com, xbox.videogames.com, etc, etc, etc. Do you think there would be much of an impact against the blog farm as far as Google rankings go, etc? Or is this a possible way of going about it? Thanks for your feedback!
will not make much difference to google crawler I guess if your domain xyz.com is found, then a.xyz.com will be found easily by google as they share same name/domain so using a subdomain is actually a good idea... did you notice? google is using gmail as a brand name only, but it goes to mail.google
subdomains is good and i'm personally been using subdomains on all of my blog farms. So far don't have any problem from Google.
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Sub domains are essentially creating more domains so you have to ask yourself if it is better to have 1 strong domain or multiple weaker domains. Having the keyword inside the domain will help but this is 1 keyword and will help for the exact search but not necessarily for long tail.
Don't listen if anyone said it will not make a difference. Of course it'll make difference. Getting the sub domain is a better idea because it will boost your main domain. any link that is pointing to your sub domain will certainly bring importance for your home page as well. I insist you should do it in the same way..
