using a psuedonym for article marketing?

    hey roomates!

in this era of stolen id's and such I really do not want to put my name and pic
associating me with the articles I submit?...besides I'd rather be anonymous...

When I go on sites like "ezine" or "articlebase" I see the authors first and last
name accompanying the article and frequently elsewhere on the site it shows their profile and a photo of them, I imagine it gives the author the "credibility" factor...

    MY question is this:

does anyone know if using a "psuedonym" is very common?

when I say psuedonym I don't mean a name like "the phantom writer!"
no, instead I mean you see what you believe is the authors first and last name,
but it's just a made up name, not really the authors true identity....?

Does anyone have the "skinny" on this question?

your view or knowledge is appreciated ...!

    AMF~

Oh sure, people do this all time, including automated software.

    thanks iowa

I use posting software to post classified ads, never even
knew article marketers do the same

how many can you post on the low or beginning end?

it seems trickier since it's not a "single site" but you would
be posting to multiple sites, is it realistic with poster sw?

( I mean on take a site like CL, it's the same site just diff cats)

any "cheap" inexpensive sw? (and yes I know you get what you pay for!)

Loads of people use pseudonyms for their article writing. "Ezine" allows you to have several different names under your one user account. I use my own name for some articles, and made-up names for others. It's a good idea to have a different name for each of your different niches - this way you will appear as an expert in your highly targeted niche rather than one writer who writes on heaps of different topics and could be perceived to be a 'Jack of all trades'.

    I see ms heather,

I assumed I would use different accounts for different niches and sites?? guess not?
wouldn't they look at your profile and see different names? wouldn't that seem odd?

(maybe making multiple accounts, I'm just making for work for myself unnecessarily?)

I'm not sure how many of the article directories let you have more than one name under your account, but with Ezine Articles tending to set the trend I would imagine most other article directories would also let you have multiple author names under one account. Don't bother trying to set up multiple accounts for each niche/site - the articles you submit under each different author name are listed separately within your admin panel so you can easily manage your articles under your one account.

Of course - I think just about everyone uses a fake name when posting articles.

Different pen names are a common thing in the article marketing landscape. Most directories offer you the option to have them. No one will know whether you're using one or not anyway, that is why they are called pseudonym's

Deciding to choose a pen name is commonplace when it comes to article marketing, for a number of reasons including privacy and the need to be perceived as an authority on a given topic rather than a "Jack of all trades".
