Using a Link Exchange Directory on my site?

    How important would be using a reciprocal link exchange directory on my site for my page rankings?

    one-way links are more superior to reciprocal links, i believe that reciprocal links are not needed anymore.

    I would suggest building links with articles, press releases and commenting on blogs and forums. IMO those methods are much more effective at building links and traffic.
