I am at another city right now. Came to celebrate new year with my relatives and brought my tiny 12" inspiron 700m with me... first time I travel with it, and damn is it tough to type, I have my hands all cramped up and bump my fingers against each other. I also keep hitting the darn caps lock key without noticing so suddenly I have 3 lines all in caps and I need to go back and write everything again. Guess I need more practice
Just make sure you use them laptops on desks instead of your lap. Otherwise, you may end up with fried balls http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn6777
Took me a little while to get used to my laptop... Always hitting the wrong keys or hitting more then 1 at once, hitting caps lock without realising it and I won't even go into trying to use the darn mouse that are built into the things. But believe it or not I couldn't live without it now, I just love it. There's a learning curve but it's worth it.
I'm a fan of the inspirons myself - good workhorses. Also a fan of working on laptop keyboards, you get used to it. Can't stand the clikety-clicks on some standard keyboards .
I'm using the DELL Latitude D610. Compared to the 12" models, the keyboard layout is larger and hence makes the typing easier. I can get to work on the smaller keyboards BTW, DELL laptop users, anyone broke a key or two yet?
lol at the writing in all caps. It took me awhile to get used to mine, we have a love/hate relationship now.
