I am deciding whether to use a catchy fake word such as google short and simple or a keyword rich name for my new website. Obviously keyword domain names are more useful when it comes to SEO yet if the site becomes big enough then I feel like it won't really matter I would like to hear thoughts on what others think Thanks!
you might need more effort to promote your brandable unique domain name, but for long term prospection it's better for your website.
In the long run, it's better with a domain that doesn't contain your keywords. But if it's just a simple and small affiliate website you're building - go for the keyword-rich domain!
The site I would be creating would be a long term site but you guys bring up some very helpful information.
Well, if the project you are looking to get started with is meant to be something of a long term, I'd suggest you to stick with domain that sounds quite a branded and reasonably suitable to your niche. Also, if you are looking to rely on keywords rich domain, don't include more than 3 words as mentioned in the poll above.
