Using a domain identified as a local site to expand universally?

Hi guys one of my friend has a high traffic forum site with PR4 and Google mostly take his forum as a local site and index tons of pages in google's country level search. Actually 70% of his traffic coming from that single country. Its an Asian country which has very low adsense click price and traffic considered as mostly not valuable as developed countries. So he is getting very low earnings from adsense comparing to the traffic he gets.

He is expecting to start sub sites or sections directing more US/Europe traffic and trying hard to drive more US/Europe visitors to his new sections.

    1. So is it okay to use the same domain name for that too? That domain has over 400,000 pages indexed in google search, and around 6 years old. Its just a madeup name without any keywords.

    2. Will those pages compete equally with sites from US/Europe or will not appear/appear very low in google search when US/Europe people search?

    3. Adsense will consider US/Europe traffic and will pay more or still show same type of low paying ads to US/Europe visitors since the domain name is well established in a low paying Asian country?

Pages rank, sites...not so much. Any "site rank" is a function of how the pages do. The pages will compete with other pages regardless of origin.
