Can I send someone an email directing them to a blog where they would sign up for a free report. Could I then have the autoresponder direct them back to another blog or even the same one to get the report. I'm sure this is a round about way to do it, but the websites I now have aren't good to use and I don't want to spend the money to make another one for this experiment. I'd appreciate hearing about an easier or better way to accomplish this or the problems with what I proposed. Donrock
If you check out my blog you can see I have done this. Actually I have this list www.building-101.com.optin.html from there they get updates and emails about my blog posts, etc.
John, I tried to use your link and ended on Yahoo with them saying it didn't exist. Would you check it and I'll try it later. Thanks, Don
You can do this with almost any of the major autoresponder services (I do it with Aweber). Just get the opt in form code in your autoresponder account, then paste it into your blog so the visitor can sign up, then adjust the settings within your autoreponder account to have it forward those that sign up to whatever page you want to send them to. Your autoresponder company should have a tutorial on how to do this. It's not hard.
RyanEven, Thanks, I just got aweber and am still learning to use it so I'll give it a go and see if I can make it work for me. Don
John, I got it. That's pretty neat. That is on your website, can you do something like that on a blog. Can you designate a single page in a blog. Another member said I could do it with my aweber also so I guess I'll get it figured out. Thanks, Don
Yea you can Don, if your using WordPress you can create new page and change the editor to "code" and input the given form code by Aweber on that page. Also don't rule out simply linking to an opt in form like I have above or having the opt in box on the main page of your blog in the side bar.
Why not just put the free report in your blog, along with a weekly free report so EVERYONE can see them, while at the same time it cuts back your man hours it will take to get X amount of people? Or does that make too much sense? ~
