Usinf Microsoft in your domain name?

    Hello,

    I have a good idea for a new domain name but i am using Microsoft in that domain name. Is that ok or it is against law?

    Microsoft is a trademark, using it legally or not with your domain name depends on the nature of your web site content. But it is quite risky, I won't want to take the risk of litigation with such a giant.

    What content could be ok? I would like to make a website with Microsoft product on it. That will be bad?

    Tat would be deadly, it would be ok if you are selling things that are totally different, if you are selling Microsoft related products then it is definitely infringement

    Microsoft is a trademark and you cannot use in your company name or trade name I think using in domain name also falls in category to company name and may not be allowed. So better not to fight with Bill Gates
