Now the predictions and conditions are going to make USI.

The number he produced is inaccurate . The number of muslims in the US is insignificant .

EDIT : If what Obama said would be true then Islam would be just a minor sect . Even the Buddhist would be able to zerg rush the muslims.

If you look at history, conflicts and wars have taken place in Muslim lands way before America existed and way before any colonial powers were actually interested in the region.

As for the story about the Taliban, I think she was treated well simply because she was a foreigner. If you read stories about how the Taliban treats local women (beatings, executions, forcing them to wear the burqa which is NOT mandated anywhere in Islam, etc) you will see far different things. Yes, she may have changed her religion... but there are thousands of other stories that you will find about people changing their religion... Christians becoming Muslim, Muslims becoming Christians, Christians becoming Jews, etc, etc. This is nothing spectacular.

The main thing is that the Taliban are NOT people that anyone would like to live under. Requiring men to wear beards, hats and to dress in rags because normal clothes are considered "too Western", banning music, banning television, mistreating women, practicing torture and corporal punishment, etc, etc. Are these things you want?? Remember, they would also ban the internet, so no more Digital Point, no more websites, no more making money from Adsense...

The problem with the United States of Islam is HOW will it be implemented.

Will countries voluntarily join it? Doubt it - leaders of Muslim countries will never want to give up their power.
Will the people vote for it? No. At least not in all countries.
Then what's left if a country refuses to join? Attack them and take over by force I guess? But then again, isn't the USI supposed to be about peace??

And WHO will be the leaders? In order to effectively manage such a large territory, there will need to be various levels of government. But since there is no democracy, the people do not vote. So WHO will decide on who gets to be in power? WHO will chose the president of the USI? And what criteria will there be to choose someone? The person who is the "smartest", or the "best Muslim"? Now again, HOW do you determine who is the most intelligent to rule and WHO will be the ones making that decision.

If power is concentrated in the hands of a few individuals that were not chosen by the people through democratic vote, it will rapidly descend to being a dictatorship which is no better than what is happening now in many Muslim countries.
