Just a few days ago, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get the Gold account on USfreeads, and yesterday I upgraded once more to Premium. So far, I advertised 8 sites amongst 20 well written articles (well researched, written, good keyword density, linked words within the text). I achieved several page 1 & 2 rankings for them within a day, for major 2 and 3 word keywords (one of which was a page 2 for a very saturated 2-word keyword). Yet, only one site got one hit and not a single sale was made. I know it's only been two days, but come on??? I did some background info on the internet and heard the same story from MANY other people. You get high rankings very quickly and no traffic or sales. I'm willing to still pay the $70/year if these things get good attention or page rank - but beyond that, is there something I'm missing here My guess is that all of the hits on these articles are internally? I used very narrow, niche related keyword strings that only people who were looking to buy would put into the search box...
The secret for getting top exposure at usfreeads is go for 'featured ad' and select the maximum duration i.e.one year. It comes out cheaper in the long run and your ad stays on the top page.
They are getting you what you wanted; top spots on SERPs. I would suggest you look into the keywords you are picking.
