Few days ago, I started posting in this forum. And this forum I added one website in my signture. Just the URL of the website, nothing else. The post I made were long, but I only made 3 post in the last week. Anyway after I made those post the users of that forum were mad at me for having my url in the signture. The mod told me it doesn't matter, but it seems some of the users care, as they started cossing at me. So anyway my question is should I still post in that forum, even through the mod said ok, or should I no longer make any post because some users were pissed of, just a few.
If your sig is ok for the forum's mod, what's the problem ? What reasons did they give you for complaining about your sig ? But I'm not sure general marketing forum is the most appropriate to post your question
Tell them that you can't afford a new signature, but if they send you $500 you will be able to buy one that says whatever they want.
Seriously, why the hell they care anyway. Its not like I went to that forum and put ads on their topic. I spend 5minute writing a reply.
You know I was actually going to leave it alone, but I ended up getting 80 visits from that forum. I was very supprise from it. Thats why I was thinking if I should continue or not.

The users cannot dictate you what to do and what not to. As long as the forum owner is OK with your sig. Continue to post.
Most people don't really love commercial messages that much. People get way too much spam, so they associate all marketing with spam.
