Users Faking Their Location.

    I always suspected and now I have a proof that users here on DP use proxy and other ways to manipulate the True Country indicator.
    Here is the proof:

    It can be really annoying when a writer says he's from USA while he's not really for example.

    The "True Country" indicator is only going to be as reliable as the ISP they are using. In that particular post, it's not through a proxy, but rather via AOL... and AOL is notorious for blanket reporting all their IPs as in the US.

    It's very easy to fake the location country in this forum and in any other forum, web application, website or anything. There are plenty of US proxies out there, plus VPNs... with both of them you can do it. VPNs are even better.
