Users Banned For Falling Through Bids?

I've noticed a trend going on lately, and it seems like it's mostly here at DP. People seem to bid on various things, but never seem to come through with their bids.

Either they never reply, the seller can't contact them, because they never log in again. You also see people making bids and than saying they don't have the funds to pay at all.

So should bidders be banned for making bids and not coming through? Should bidders be in a BINDING contract, if they place a bid?

I know a few other forums out there BAN or suspend users, if they do not come through with their bids. Basically, once you bid your in a binding contract to fulfill your bid and payment.

Bid is like a contract - in case if it's successful, you just can't say "sorry, I don't want it anymore" and yes, that's called "scam" ( at least in my eyes ).

The problem is "no staff member" at DP enforces the rule. I know places like NP will BAN or SUSPEND you, if you bid and don't pay or back out after the auction is over.

Personally, Shawn or one of the admins need to get a few respectable members, who can monitor the Sales forums and enforce rules like these.

You are right, there are many people who come to take our services.

After doing each and everything, they leave in final stage and don't ever reply. :(

I have also experienced it !!

DP staff will not get involved in your private business disputes. If someone bids, wins, and doesn't pay, you may leave a negative review in that auction thread or a negative iTrader.
