Hi, for a in my opinion very valid reason, I'd like to have a different username. A new blank account with a different username is no problem for me, but it's against policy, or so I've read.

I only just registered on digitalpoint so it would be no problem if my old account were to be deteled. What should I do?

You can't change your current username so now you need to stick with current one forever and don't try to create another account here otherwise your both account getting banned immediately.

    DON.

I understand people getting fatigued over time using the same id but what made you look for a change, just few days after choosing it? :(

If you have a very good and valid reason and since you are ready to let go of the existing id, you might consider making a good request to a moderator here and try your luck!

Who knows...they might be feeling generous today and give you the permission, one last time!

    Regards,

To be honest I don't think that this is going to happen, if you read the stickies Shawn Hogan said that it takes a tremendous amount of resources to change a user name and there has to be an exceptional reason for it to pass.

Considering you have 10 posts and just registered there really isn't any justifiable reason as to why you need your name changed.
