User "<username>" no longer responding, connection closed. (17)

Users have been complaining lately of being dropped from Optigold unexpectedly (usually, but not always) while they are using it. In the Event Log I see 3 to 6 of these per day (corresponding to the drops):

User "<username>" no longer responding, connection closed. (17)

I am only beginning to look at the possible network issues that might cause the connections to blip (other programs, including a chat software which is quick to disconnect in any network trouble, does not disconnect when this occurs) since I was asking other questions I thought I might ask about this too. Perhaps it is the result of some function coming to light on the last upgrade (when some users believe that this began)? Perhaps it is always indicative of/is the normal message for "X"?

    Thanks

    Sam - FSI

Mmmm... the only time I've ever heard of that would be some sort of network connectivity issue between the client and the database server.
