I enabled the user reputation system for fun... So now you can see a user's reputation on the right side of their post header (it's the green dots that look like ). If you like (or dislike) what someone did or posted, you can affect their reputation by voting on it with the icon. If you want to disallow people from seeing your reputation, you can disable it in your user control panel. - Shawn
I've gotten a chuckle out of the "pean/grunt/beserker" caste system for the number of posts you have made, but if I mouse over the "reputation" icon, I don't get the significance of the "distinguished road" - is there a movie/cultural reference I'm missing here. Just curious, alek
They are all setup as the defaults right now, so I didn't set those ones. BTW, I ended up replacing "Administrator"... so boring. hehe - Shawn
How 'bout "Master of the Search Universe and Beyond!" Yea, Administrator was kinda boring - nice touch Shawn. alek
Shawn Your setup has drop my reputation to 0 for making three entries in a row.... that is pretty harsh It will take me 100years to restore it.........
It's built into vBulletin, for detailed info on it, check the vBulletin manual (I only say that since I know you run a forum).
in my cp I see "latest reputation given" but it doesn't give any details beyond that- not who gave it, not if it was positive or negative is this normal? is there any way to see who has the highest reputations?
It's anonymous, so you can't see who gave it... if it's positive, it will be green, if it's negative it's red. And if the user has less than 50 posts, and can't affect your reputation either way, it's grey.
I think we should all give Shawn a negative vote and see what happens to him.... LOL Maybe he would start sounding like anthony if we did that. (We dont need 2 of him though!!!)
Use BBCode, like this: <Left Bracket>URL=http://www.YourURL.com<Right Bracket>Your Site Description<Left Bracket>/URL<Right Bracket> Where: <Left Bracket> is [ <Right Bracket> is ]
