I installed deeplinks recently, and everything seems to be going smoothly. Until I got my first customer for a featured with deeplinks (I think they were after deeplinks too, can't be sure). I got the receipt, with the url and email addy, thinking it had all been added automatically as usual. Nope. The featured links section on the backend didn't show it, and the payments section showed it as paid with all of the fields being blank. I donno if it was their browser (probably?) or my site, or a human error on their part. I ended up going to the site and making the listing as best I could, and I emailed the customer too. I hope this isn't an error on my site's part, because if it is something is really screwed up. Whatever the case, the site was eco-furniture.com, and if anybody on here owns it, I need to talk to you. Everone else: help me figure out what went wrong. Arrgh.
Can't you simply do a test submit of a dummy website, and see if things are working? That would be the first step.
Already did...all submits work, I don't go past the payment screen (don't pay myself), but the links appear in the approve links section. I have approved tons of links today, so I don't think that's the problem...
what i usualy do is test it on sandbox b4 going live, http://www.sandbox.paypal.com a little tiring thing, but worth it, Regards, M.
In similar cases assuming the money is cleared (which it is here) many folks dont know how to fill in the submit for deep links (not because its difficult) they just dont know, its happened on many occasions with us just check out the site for review select some prime secondary URL's on the site with titles and enter a title description for each, save and you have done the work for the reviewer That sorts that out initially, you can always edit later
That's what I did, but for some reason it appears they hadn't entered ANYTHING, yet the url was there in the paypal invoice. I am thinking their browser may have had a java error or something. I went ahead and did the fill in work for them, though.
You say that you installed deeplinks recently, do you mean you installed the mod yourself, ive reread your post and im very far from understanding code and stuff but i installed deeplinks for myself too. Is it possibly you could of missed adding tables through SQL? or missed inserting something else somewhere, just after reading the mention of it not showing in the featured section... Ignore me if its not that type of problem just thinking of little things that i missed while installing.
Try to install the script again.. If you have submitted demo sites and work correctly, then there should not be a problem before too. Check the installed script again.
Nope! The tables are there. My demo sites all work (I didn't go as far as the paypal sandbox), but I can submit everything. I really think it may have been a faulty google toolbar autofill or something.
