user created html links

    Hello,
    I need to know how to make a href link that the visitor can complete.
    For example:
    http://mysite.com/........html
    The visitor would type in his word in the ........ space.
    I know you can do this with a form, but I would like to do it with a <a href> link.
    Can you help me?

    Somehow I want to break the link here:
    <a href="http://mysite.com/
    Put in:
    <input class="searchBoxText" type="text" name="query" size="23">
    And then continue the link:
    .html">go</a>
