User accounts and a forum

    Hello DP,

I was wondering how I could make a website that has user accounts (ex. eBay, Amazon) and forums (ex. Digital Point) and allows them to combine. Ideally, I would like users to use their accounts on the website and the forum seamlessly. Would this require making user accounts and a forum from scratch or can I do this with forum software (ex. phpbb, vBulletin)? How can I do this?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hello,

Usually a combination of the two things is called e107. Basically its a big CMS (content management system) its all PHP and uses multiple databases.

    Hope that helps you.

this type of functionality is built-in to Drupal.. since the built-in forum with Drupal is a bit weak, there is also a VB integration package.
