Useless SEO and Google

i still get lots of link exchange requests, everyday i am deleting spam posts and still read crap SEO techniques at forums. But almost all of the webmasters knows that how Google strict about quality, useless tricks and fraud. So, why still people do belive in link exchange campaigns, link spams, ...etc?

 

Link exchange campaigns? What's wrong with them? They still work for me.

Maybe you believe they don't. I believe it does have some positive effect. What makes you more right than me?

I should add here (as opposed to sounding like an argumentative asshole (which I am anyway )) that 3 months of link building and three way linking has directly resulted in improvements in the SERPS for the keywords I was targetting directly. No other work was done on these pages and they had seen no movement in the targetted phrases for 5 months.

 

What am I missing? Are suggesting that link exchanges have no value?

 

Apparently he seems to think so. Take a look at his site and he proudly states he is the turkish division of SEO Guy. SEO Guy is the biggest advocate of recip link programs I know of

 

Seo Guy is my friend and that website is still under construction as u may see. Thats why i added his link. i respect his link building style but personally i dont think that LE is very useful way, it's a Google trick and Google is always eliminate that kind of efforts (at least, eventually), as we seen on Update Florida and Austin ...etc.

My point is, Google is so strick about its QUALITY and everyone knows this (i even bring a quote above), right? So, if u trick Google then they may eliminate your tricks. Thats what i want to say...

 

Fair enough. It's a risk that I (and lots and lots and lots) of other people are willing to take for the time being.

 

Yes, it's a risk. Anyway, i posted this threat becuase i really really bored to delete blog spam links, forum spam links, reciprocal link exc. request mails. Thats really annoying

i am designing a BLOG area but it's in test process now, however Spammers come everyday and piss (sorry, i mean post) their stupid poker-casino links everyday.

 

kusadasi-guy may have a point. All the external links I have gives me a max of pr 4, but many of my internal pages have a pr of 5. Go figure.

I must add though that I personally believe that exchanging links does have value. If nothing else, it will probably get the bots to visit your site more often. Most of the search engine referals I get is from search results on pages that I would not promote directly.
