Just noticed in my referer logs: ww.google.co.uk/search?etc Upon checking it appears that w.google.co.uk works as well. Probably same thing for the com's. More than 3 w's doesn't work though. PS: http://cb3.de/ie?q=keyword+here works as well (shortest G search URL) Now go back to work...
Hmmmm, actually this is a very clever idea. I guess they just set up sub-domains from their normal google domains, to even gurantee, that people who type w.google.com or ww.google.com, will access the google page. so, it's like http://subdomain.google.com , where they set "subdomain" to "w" and "ww"... nice idea
I guess that means we should redirect wwww. ww. w. to www. to cope with mis-typed IBLs or am I just being silly now
I did the same thing, you can type any conceivable error in your browser and it goes to my site Signed Bill Gates
I have wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.psychlinks.ca redirected to www.psychlinks.ca to help manics and obsessive-compulsives find my site
