    Peace,

Just wanted to share the following with my fellow DP members.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the messenger of Allah said :
"Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest."

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said : a man said to the prophet : "Counsel me". He said : " Do not become angry". The man repeated [his request] several times, and he said: "Do not become angry ".

    Sincerely,

If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all.

I'm sure Muhammad was the one that came up with that saying.

The Bible said long before Muhammad that you should not let the sun set on your anger.

So I'm not sure why we would be looking to Muhammad for things that are just poor copies of older sayings.

"Don't get angry" is really terrible advice. Anger is a way to release stress. Not getting angry is a great way to increase blood pressure and die young. It's better to learn how to fix a situation so you are no longer angry than to just bottle up your emotions.

    Even Jesus got angry.

Allah had anger issues as well. So really I have no idea what Muhammad is talking about.

There's nothing to rant about. It's just another example of Muhammad pawning off other people's sayings as his own or giving really bad advice.

    These are good sayings. Thanks.

I laugh to myself, because I used to treat with a Chinese herbalist. After evaluation, moxibustion, acupuncture, and tui na, he looked at me with concern in his eyes and said" "don't get angry."

Wisdom is expressed in many ways.:)

You speak crap, getting angry is not good. I dont know were you learnt your science.
This hadith was just advice, in some circumstances, getting angry is permissible.

Also according to your logic, anything Jesus taught that can also be found in the Old testament is just plagarized. Btw, Muahmmad pbuh was illiterate and a bible in arabic did not exist until about 200 years after his death.

Hadiths are just sayings of the prophet pbuh, the holy Quran is the word of God, it is preserved unchanged in its original language for 1400 years, memorized by millions. Whilst the bible is heavily corrupt according to its (christian) scholars. Also the NT is preserved in greek, a language Jesus never spoke, so all his words in the bible are prone to the default error of translation you get when translating anything. Originals dont exist.

I have a question, in the bible is 'Son of God' literal?
