Used My Article, Changed the Link

I'm so mad. Some site picked up one of my articles and changed the link code so it doesn't actually go to my site. So instead of www.widgets.com/birds.htm he put a space in the code like this: www.widgets.com/b irds.htm .

It goes to an error page on my site now. How can people be so unethical? I'm losing faith in humanity.

302 it to the right page. I'd be bent too.

Where did he get the article from?

By doing that he is breaking the TOS of most article sites and you can request him to change it (or email his host as once he does that he no longer has the right to "steal" your content.

A nicely worded email to the owner, however, usually does the trick 99% of the time.

I routinely email site owners on behalf of Article Depot submitters and haven't had someone not fix the issue yet

Btw what happens if the person doesn't want to change and you send a mail to the host. what can he do, and what if the host doesn't do anything aswell?

If its just a one time thing, its probably not worth your time past there as it starts to then get expensive

It's a spam type site or scraper site and there's no contact information. I assume he got it from GoArticles.com so I'll let them know. I'm sure nothing can be done about it, though. Oh well...

Notify GoArticles. They are on a real legal kick these days. They actually recently went after a few people here using scraper sites (and one person selling the script) and changed their TOS just to deal with it.

Have you tried doing a Whois? search to get their email. Also you can get the name of their hosting company which may be another avenue.
