Hi, I have a .wmv file that I wanted to convert to flash b/c the video wasn't showing up for people who were browsing the site using Firefox or Netscape. I used a peice of software called Flix 8 (www.on2.com) and the conversion seems to work great. The only problem/question I have now is that when I insert the flash video into the webpage, I don't see any options to allow the user to push play / stop to control the video - as you can do with .wmv files. Are all flash videos "autoplay" or does anyone know how to add controls? Thanks!
Thanks - but is there anyway to actually put the controls on the screen so that for those who don't know to right-click, they can just press play, or stop, or rewind, etc?
well i use a tool that makes my life more simple! http://www.geovid.com/Video_to_Flash_Converter video to flash converter has an option "generate html" and it makes a page for me with converted flash file and with buttons play, stop and pause!
If you bought flix8 and have no plans to switch to another product, I can code a custom designed player for you, you send me a psd of the player and I add the needed code too have this player control the swf files generated by flix8. Regards.

Flash Video MX Pro does not work with Flash Player. its fast, and useful, with a Flash Player is ready but with various skins for you to go with your webpage style.
To control flash video on web page, you just need a web-based Flash video player, which is swf file that can be created in Adobe Flash.
