Hi guys, I need a way to use the UK postcode database (I don't currently have one, is there a list online somewhere?) So that if we say the following delivery costs are true NE12 - £1 NE1 - FREE NE23 - £2 Then the user enters the first part of their post code and an accurate shipping cost is returned. Ie. User enters 'NE1' and they get 'FREE!' but the user then enters 'NE23' and they get '£2' Has anyone accomplished this? DoA
as far as i know, the cost by mail is the same to any part of the UK unless it is the IoM or channel islands, Royal mail has a database they sell
If you're only interested in the NE postcode area check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NE_postcode_area I guess you could be interested in DH and SR too?
Sorry, my OP should have been clearer. I am interested in the whole of the UK, just using NE as an example. I have found the solution & although it will take a little bit of work, it'll be worth it. DoA
