    Following trends is useful if you can tie them into your product or service. Trends about flowers for instance will not help a motorcycle blog for instance lol. But if you can tie a hot trend into your niche and make it work, then you're golden. :)

    This reminded me that you can also use twitter to find clients for your services. Just search what your selling and you can find a ton of people talking about it. Then you can send them a private message about your services.
