I don't think that's a good idea to do. Just ban those folks from commenting on your blog if they violated your blog's comment posting rules.

In my opinion, that's a sneaky dirty tactic and when people catch onto this, you may loose some of your loyal visitors or posters since they have it in the back of there mind that if you think there comment is spammy it will be edit by you or something like that.

Get a reputation of banning the spammers from your blog and let the loyal interested folks post real quality comment's. This just my opinion.

That's up to you but i'd rather see quality comments that make other visitors jump in the conversation about that current blog post. I follow a few high traffic blogs and sometimes post a comment if i have something to say but i mostly read the blog comments cause the comments are useful to me. Ok, time to get drunk.

um, i was talking out loud again.

If it's a spam comment, most likely nobody will want to click it anyway and I highly doubt they will buy anything.

Like the others said, just leave the good quality comments and get rid of the spammers.

Agree with the others, you have marked them as SPAM because they provide no meaning to your blog post so just delete them to provide better value.

It's a good idea even though not very honest.
I think you have to consider the viewpoints of those honest readers. What would they think when they see that you accept all the meaningless and useless comments?
