Use same domain for name server registration

I have a domain say mydomain.com. I want name servers to be ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com and then I want to point the domain mydomain.com to name servers ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com

I don't want to have separate domain for name servers. My domain registrar is Name.com. Using Name Server Registration link I registered the name server as ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com and by clicking the domain name and edit name servers link I have added the name servers ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com to mydomain.com but it is not working mydomain.com is not loading.

What extra things I need to do? I also want to know how can I achieve this for godaddy as well?

    THANK YOU!

You need to assign an ip of your server for that name server!

You also need to create an A record for those name servers on your actual server itself.
