Get out your pen tool (shortcut "p"). Draw a line with it, then grab the point where your line ended and drag it a bit. If you still don't understand this, play around a bit with the pen tool and you'll get it. It's a valuable skill to have. make sure the shape is filled with black, or the darkest that you are going to go with whatever color you are using.

I would recommend getting a basic understanding how how to use the pen tool (if you haven't already)

Use the anchor points to create your design.

If you're having some creative trouble, you can import shapes/designs from Google images and go over them with the pen tool. However for logo work you might want to invest in using Illustrator.

To create a logo if you want to use pen tool select pen tool from left corner. Here you,ll see three option. Most of the time you have to choose "Create a new work path".
Take your pen tool and click on a blank space of your page. Every time you click you,ll create an anchor point. you can use shift key to be accurate. Remember one thing the more you practice the more you ,ll be perfect.....

    Enjoy drawing..
