I have a website which is 6/7 months old and google index it regularly. I launched few other websites but google is not indexing at all although I submitted sitemap few weeks ago.
My questing is can I use my well indexed website to promote my un-indexed sites if they are somehow related? What about unrelated website? Is it going to harm my indexed site?

for google to index your site you need to put it online. not in your belly.

    :D:D

on a more serious note, yes you can do that. lots of people do that. if it's related, you should go that route. that way you can drive traffic from your old to the new site.

I would suggest visiting www.websitepublisher.net and looking through the articles at the top of the home page. There is one on "hub and spoke linking" that would answer your questions.

be patient. :) mine took a month before the main page even appeared in G. use their sitemap if your site is big.

EDIT: heck. use their sitemap even if you have only one page. :D:D

If you have a few othersites in google that are getting crawled regularily then yeah by all means link to the other site. It will at least help you get indexed quicker then normally.

I mainly cross promote my related sites. It isn't as effective to promote unrelated sites but I sometimes have to do this if I have a site that isn't related to any of my sites.

Yep, I usually cross promote my various sites aswell, obviously related sites are better but if it has to be done unrelated sites can still work relatively well.

Even if they arent related...so what?
You will get relevant links from your link building. If you get in google asap your sandbox counter will count down faster.

Submit your sites to directories, too. Even if those links are not necessarily related, they can direct the SE-robots to your site. The more links you have, the better the indexing on your site will go.

I have one extremely well established site and several others that are doing well, but not quite as well. Some are related and some are not.

To help things along moving forward, I created a "sacrificial" site (very general theme, little in the way of monetization) that I intend to build up with the express purpose of helping get future sites indexed and perhaps even passing PR (if it can garner any).

That way I don't need to worry that I'll be damaging my "Topic A" site by linking it to my unrelated, new "Topic Z" site. I haven't looked much into hub-and-spoke yet, but I imagine it is a similar concept.

Of course this will work,i've done it quite a few times a lot of the times you don't have to submit your site to SE's because SE bots will pick up the links quickly providing your site has been indexed in the SE's for some time.
