Use of the term 'ban'

    Hi,

I am relatively new to AdSense and was wondering what exactly people mean when they use the term ban in the context of statements like "Google banned me"?

Does this mean that Google ban the individual from ever using AdSense again?

Or does it mean that an offending web site is banned from publishing AdSense ads, but the same person can use AdSense on another site?

    Thanks!

Means they ban you forever unless you can prove you shouldnt have been.

Im coming up on 2 years into my ban and they keep telling me no. :)

Ad Adsense user who is banned by Google is never allowed to run Adsense on his/her sites again though many try to do so. Almost inevitably you see a thread started by such a user stating they have been banned again.

If you get banned try finding a close friend or family member that Google will send the checks to. Just make sure there really going to write the checks over to you. :)

Better still. Don't try to cheat and your account should be ok. I've only been here for a short while but it seems to me that all the posts I've read about people getting banned are because somebody tried to get away with breaking the TOS.

I expect there are a few who don't deserve it and who have been banned unjustly, but I'm sure the majority either didn't read the rules or just plainly thought they could get away with breaking them.

Google/AdSense are a big company, and you can bet they have most angles covered.

There is some room for interpretation in Google's TOS. Sometimes you can appeal your case and have the ban reversed. Just read their TOS thoroughly and use their program in good faith and you won't have to worry about getting banned.

If you clicked your own ads accidentaly, you can send an email to Google about the problem and request to deduct the amount earned from that click. So, it will avoid from google ban you.
