    How long has your site been active on the Web?

    Usually it's just a matter of time before Google crosses some pages with outbound links to your site, and you'll eventually get picked up...

    It's more about getting incoming links than meta tags. Just get as many inbound links as you can.

    some tips on getting indexed quicker:

    1. post on forums with site url in sig
    2. get backlinks (more the better
    3. add the google site map and submit it to google site map thing :)

    and this one is good if you can do it :)

    get a text link on a PR7 site for 48 hours and you will get index in about 24 hours but this would cost unless you have a mate

    i use my PR4 and get index in about 1 week some times less or you could even add it to a site with low PR but one that gets spiderd very often this is why i said about the forum one (BUT dont spam know one likes a spammer)

    i delete spammers, i dont mind people posting on my forums, but the links for selling meds to enlarge penis size by 4 inches, just get deleted. and viagra and the like, just go poof whooshhhhh gone

    The links in sigs on my site dont get followed by spiders, so it does them no good.

    Nasruddin there are many things to consider. If your website is new and you use competitive keyword there is a big possiblity google will put your site to Google Box. Just get more backlinks from directories, forums, blogs and related websites. Submit your link to google and DMOZ :)

    dct is right, try to get more links from reputable site or to related sites,
    SItes that has the same theme as yours :)
