I saw a debate on another forum about this, and have my own opinion on the matter, but I thought it would be interesting to see what the consensus was from my fellow DP'ers on this subject. Conjunction (grammar): A part of speech that connects two words, phrases or clauses together. Examples: and, but, or When looking for a domain name to register for a site, how do you feel about using conjunctions in a domain? Will using a word like 'and' negatively affect seo? How about memorability (branding)? In what situations (type of site, goal of site, etc) do you feel it is okay to use, or not use, a conjunction in the domain name? Just a quick example to give a more realistic feel to the questions: The phrase 'buy used cars' has over 2.5 million global monthly search volume. The domain name BuyUsedCars.com is already taken. The phrase 'buy used trucks' has 450k global monthly search volume. The domain name BuyUsedTrucks.com is already taken. The domain name BuyUsedTrucksAndCars.com is available. The domain name BuyUsedTrucksCars.com is available. Which one would you take (if either) and what are the factors you consider when making the choice? **I have no interest in the domains mentioned above so don't hesitate to grab (if you have interest in them) out of fear that you would be taking them from me (would have been my fault for posting them in a public place before registering anyways ). I hope you can offer some input and I appreciate any responses regarding the use of conjunctions and the concerns surrounding them when trying to grab a fitting domain. I am interested to hear some opinions and hope to learn something from you.
