hi guys i wanted to know what is the use of article submission. does it really increase links? do google count them?
On sites, like GoArticles.com you can write in article link to your site. Everybody, who copy this article to his site must copy link too. And if you have a good article, it will have a lot copies and you have a lot of one-way backlinks.
I blogged about this a few months ago, have a read and see what you think, Publishing Articles. - Michael
Who answered no for this? You can visit an article site for yourself and see the articles there. All the articles have links to the writers website. Search engines also see these links.
even if you don't get backlink you will get audience. i am sure they will give you recognisation for using ur work.
I said 50-50. Writing articles for other sites seems to much pain in the ### to me. It generates lots of backlinks, no doubt, but for me all these were spammy, MFA site links.
and i have one more question in this regard. does it matter if the submission is using a software or it is manual? if yes what difference does it make?
well different articles sites use different software...some allow full html links with anchor text, while other only allow a simple url. if you do manual submissions, you can make sure you are submitting the right type of link.
so manual as well as automation seems to be ok and every software will require atleast to click submit button isn't it? so while using software also person will have option wheather to submit to a particular directory or not.
writing articles is the next big revolution to back links and reciprocal links. one day article submission will be more important than getting back links from good PR sites.
The links offered by article directories are not very valuable and you will have to submit a lot of articles to benefit from them. Also I agree with Michael that articles are rarely taken by good quality sites I have been experimenting with few domains - building links solely by submitting articles. I wanted to see the effect of these links on PR and SERPs separately. The last PR update has messed up all new pages and it is difficult to estimate the effect of these links on my new domains. One positive aspect that I have seen about submitting articles is, even if my sites do not rank high in SERPs , many of the articles have got good SERPs for competitive keywords. A portion of the visitors going to my articles in these article directories trickles down to my sites. In my opinion submitting a large number of articles over a period can boost traffic in a big way - but this requires lot of patience - the results wont be as immidiate as with other link building methods.
i submitted articles about two weeks ago, and still no traffic/backlinks. i might start seeing them in a month or two though.
Ummm...yeah... Even if you don't get the greatest quality backlinks every time, how can it not be worth a few hours to get a bunch of extra links? A lot of the time they do get picked up by scrapers, but I still get at least a few solid links every time I submit. If nothing else, the article directories themselves usually give high PR links to my site with the anchor text of my choice. And keep in mind that scrapers can actually give you traffic from time to time. The visitor lands on a crappy site, sees your article summary and clicks that link to get some real information.
