Use htaccess to speed up your website

Hi @scylla - I no longer use VB - will this method work with Xenforo and my current .htaccess file? Do I just copy the entire content of text into the .htaccess file? I do have some old "stuff" in my current .htaccess file, perhaps it's old and outdated? Thanks for any help!
