For a long time, I've been using the filter list to stop mfa listings from appearing. I picked up a listing from this forum to use. However, I saw this recap from an SES San Jose panel on contextual advertising and read this: Smart filtering: - Use your filter list with caution: if you block ads, lower paying ads appear instead. Thus, only filter (1) competitors, (2) grossly mistargeted advertisers, (3) ads that are not appropriate for your audience. Should I delete my list? What do you think?
That bolded statement is absolute BS and I've proven it to myself a half dozen times on my site with controlled experiments by alternating filtering and non-filtering. Experiments provided data which showed that filtering increased my ePC by a statistically significant amount. You just have to know which sites to filter and I've gotten pretty good at looking at a site and seeing if it pays crap or not.
possibly, if you are too ignorant to figure out what an mfa site is i'd be asking how much arbitrage she does, or whether she has any mfa sites... or maybe she just doesn't understand how mfa sites operate? as for your statement that "I picked up a (mfa)listing from this forum to use", that is not the way to do it. you must create your own custom filter list, we have covered this subject many times out here before.
Can you elaborate on what "that" is referring to? I believe we are currently up to the 118th covering of the subject now
i think that 118 times would be optomistic it's gotten to the point where i've been toying around with the idea of actually starting up a blog to correct all of these noob mistakes and false information. maybe i'll put the url in my sig file, and post-whore the crap out of it on this forum, like everybody else does.
