Use Adwords to index a site.

I've read that if you run an adwords ad, Google sends a robot to index your site in a few hrs. Anyone had any luck with this? And then u can turn the ad off.

 

No this simply isn't true. You should just carry on with your normal SEO and forget about indexing, it'll happen by itself.

 

I have heard something similar before - that the adwords bot 'informs' the regular google bot about the exstence of a site, but I've no idea if it's true, and it seems like a terribly complicated way to get a terribly simple thing to happen.

 

If you run an Adwords campaign, there's no reason Google can't use this information to check and see if they already have your landing page indexed. In fact, they probably do. Whether that's within a few hours, that's another question. But if you don't plan to run an Adwords campaign, why bother? As Magda says, it's a lot of work for a simple thing. I would just submit my site to Google and other search engines.

 

Well I did it and it worked for me. I submitted to search engines 2 weeks ago and nothing yet of course. An hour after I made my adwords ad, my site was re-indexed.

Of course you turn off the ad once it you got what you wanted.

And making an ad takes about 1-2 minutes if you already have adwords set up.

an interesting thing I read related to this is if you find a high PR site and buy a cheap text ad spot somewhere on their home page the ad will get crawled and increase your PR just by being there- just read never tried

I don't think this is true.. The only way Google Adwords is good for organic search is because you let the world know your website exists.. If they like the content and the website overall after clicking the Adwords ad, it's very likely they'll link to your site and give you some organic search benefit in the long term..

 

Post link to your site in website reviews section on DP and googlebot will come to you in few hours. Plus you'll get some advices, suggestions, critiques...

 

i don’t think its needed. if your site have good content and just put it the link on high pr social bookmarking site. Google automatically detect the page and index it. Try this hope its help you.

I dont think it would work but the reason why some people are getting index is due to other plp linking to your source because there saw your ad if that make sense.
