Hey All, My dedicated server solution with Hostgator is expensive anyway but with the USD/GBP exchange rate being the way it is I'm going to have to look for something cheaper... I'm seeing quite a few competitive quotes from companies based in the UK but most hosting companies seem to make you apply for a quote rather than displaying their prices on their websites - very annoying! So, can anyone recommend a company that has as good service as hostgator but are a lot cheaper?? I'm quite happy to host in India/Russia etc as long as the company has a good reputation... Also, they have to allow adult content...
I am having the same trouble at the moment all i wanted to get was a small entry lever either dedicated or vps that allows adult image hosting as the site is a new one the traffic will not be massive and i have had a few quotes but the prices they quote are a lot differant from the ones they show on there websites usually with the excuse that it is out of date or something on that line.I have 3 normal hosting packages that i have all my normal sites on and these are usually dirt cheap to aquire but for a adult image host with a c/panel some have tripled the price from the ones shown on the website.The trouble is a require one before to long as i have finished setting the site up.
Hey Mega B, Glad to hear that I'm not the only one having trouble I don't use anything like the amount of traffic/space that I'm paying for - I've thought about doing some hosting with other adult webmasters but you've really got to trust that they don't put anything illegal on your server... I think some sort of co-operation is the best way to reduce costs tho... Cheers, p.
I agree with you,it may well be the way forward or just keep looking all i wanted at this stage was the facility for one adult image hosting site i have a normal image hosting site which is starting to take off and that has no problems but it is just the normal adult site that is the problem.Oh well keep on trying and good luck. Yep, I got a vps in the States when the Pound was 2:1 and it was dirt cheap ($50 - £25 a month for a great pckage) - but that value is diminishing by the day!

Indeed, in Canada also the Dollar here has lost 30 cents of it value against the Greenback. My hosting has wents up 30%, but it doesn't seem to affect me much. My revenue is paid in USD, which I convert to Canadian, which I get more CDN for. So it is all good. How about getting hosting directly in Britain? You can use your local currency.
Do your adult content is legal? If yes then it should be no problem in finding host for it. Now my adult streaming site is hosted at http://www.zentek-international.com/dedicated/ I do recomend you use them coz their support is first class
