male - male the fact is that I dont quite have devices with usb ports so thats why I was wondering , as the only thing I tried was connecting 2 laptops with it (which gave no results) but now if I think could I somehow connect my xbox or ps2 to my laptop & use its screen with this cable ?
I don't think you can get video over USB, because the main purpose of USB is to transfer data. Searched around a bit - some devices (like external drives) use male-male to transfer date.
