I have a usb mouse. It keeps getting powered off again and again. Meaning i have to plugin the usb every few minutes. Happens with the front and the back usb both.

    Mouse problem?
Any one else face this problem?

Sometimes it may need the hub to be powered as the usb port on it own sometimes cannot provide enough power for big usb items, just a thought though :)

Do you have any other devices that you use on your other USB ports? Some devices use more power than the others. So maybe your mouse don't receive enough power from the USB port.

If no, you can test your mouse on other PC first. Maybe the problem is on the mouse itself.

Either the mouse or the Power is the issue. Even if its only 5 weeks old if its a prebuilt PC you can have it underpowered. I've seen people go use the Customize my pc feature to get all the bells and whistles and forget that a 350-400w PS just won't cut it.

sounds like a bad usb connector, can you take it back and get a new one?
did you say other devices work find in the usb slots, do any of them require power?

Maybe something is wrong with your mouse. You can find another computer to check it.
I think it's related to the inside circuit of the mouse. If it can work well in another computer,
then try to fix usb port of your computer although you bought it a few weeks ago.
