    Hi,

I just want to do a quick poll.

I am in college with a USB fan i got from eBay for £4. It has been taken from me by my tutor.

    Is this fair?

Why did he/she take it away? it's not fair and you should demand it back.

The people with the heating system is that it is 70miles away from the college, and they do have a temputure control in this room. There are no windows that open, and if the door is left open, it is too noisy. I went on eBay i purchased a USB Fan to combat the problem.

It was taken during lesson, and then given back at the end of lesson. The first excuse is that it was "too loud" and that it "broke health and safety regulations". Then i attempted to use it again, and then they claimed that 'The only thing you are allowed to use are USB pen drives. You are not allowed to plug in any other device in any ports or the wall sockets.'

I am rather cheesed off about... I felt treated unfairly earier, and i nearly lost my tempture, but i managed to calm down without causing a big problem.

Take it up with the headmaster or some senior school official before attempting it again.

Maybe the professor found your USB as an disturbance in his/er class for it has foreign look.

Its a nice bargin, i will still use it at home, and i will still use it at college when i am using the drop-in computers.

I admit, it is very annoying, because it was a waste of my money. I don't have much to spend anyway, and i thought i was doing myself a favour. The thing which annoys me the most is that my tutor cracked a few jokes about usb fans in the first few weeks of college, around 2 months. She was saying how good of an idea they were.

I am going to ask about a way to get around this. I think it is irritating.
