North Korea would be a difficult war.

Much much easier just to nuke 'em.

This would surely result in WWIII(or WWIIII or WWIIIII, depending on your method of counting).

Nah... we just have to clear it with the Chinese ahead of time.

We don't have to get their permission, we just have to get them to agree that it is an issue which is not worth going to war with us over.

which probably means one doesn't even need to approach the UN or anyone else to go in there. If the terms of the ceasefire are breached (whatever those terms are), seems like it's defacto war anyways.

Well, if we get Japan and China on the same page...and China enters the conflict, then I would feel a bit a ease...but hopefully nothing like that happens.

Politically speaking, all we need to do is to say to the Chinese "Either you fix the problem, or we will." Then, they will invade just to keep us from invading.

However, before we can say that we need to mean it. And, it is glaringly obvious that we do not mean it at this time.

I don't want to offend China...we must get as much permission as we can possibly fathom. I'm not saying China has rule over us, I'm just hoping (if the violence starts) that it will be isolated and China will stay calm.

Well, we're not going to do anything without coordinating with China.

But, better than us doing something would be China doing something.

This is their mess, they should clean it up.

The Chinese and the Russians put Kim Il-sung in power as a puppet in the first place. Their puppet's vile spawn is out of control and it's their responsibility to reign him in.

But more than that, the Chinese don't want us on their border and if they don't fix the problem they helped to create, we are going to be on their border.

The US cant afford to war with korea. Its a war the US would lose. Not enough man power, unless of course you use nukes which is not gonna happen so north korea would win for sure. There not like iraq or afghanistan they actually have a functional army thats capable of fighting. The US would need chinese help on this.

If the US did invade korea in the long run its likely the US would be victorious but at the cost of roughly one million casualtys and unthinkable damage to south korea

America is not capable of defeating N.Korea, um, not even Vietnam a much weaker country. Simply americans can't afford that much to go to war with N.Korea.

N.Korea has nuke in hand and possibly long-range missiles that can reach US. So by the time US troops reach China border, some states might have been nuked to stone-age. Or maybe the game begins with "I nuke you. You nuke me" to stone-age.

Not quite sure why N. Korea was permitted to develop nukes.
