Some of them are like works of art. The tommy gun in the violin case is a classic.

I guess what I am getting it is I am eternally bothered by people who claim to be something they are not. People come to this forum, claiming to live in the US, claiming to be American's, only to find out later that they are either a foreign national living in the US on a student visa, or are not even located here..

You would be surprised just how many people do this... It's like the guy that calls up Rush Limbaugh and says, "I'm not a Democrat or a Republican, but..."..

It's impossible to respect someone that pretends to be something they are not.

I can't speak for other people, but if I were not a US citizen and if I did not live in this country and if I did not pay taxes and if none of the local/national politics did not affect my life and my family I would not waste my time in this forum talking about it. It is because I do care and I do want this country to excel and be the best I speak out against anything that I see wrong with it in hopes that we can collectively fix them.

Why are you responding to this? What makes you think I was talking about you? Odd..

BTW, those are very admirable things to hope for in any country..

Perhaps the fact you quoted him in your post and have accused him of not being American in the past?

So whats up with your sudden loss of memory? Wasn't it you who said the following?
How is one supposed to read into that?
Anyhow, I say don't make assumptions about people without knowing anything about them. Your previous posts assumed and claimed numerous times that I am not a US Citizen, I am anti-American, US politics should not concern me and a bunch of other nonsense that simply are not true about me.

P.S. I sent some money your way in the form of directory submissions. ;) Maybe you can approve the links.

It fits, because I just saw Mia questioning how many of Ron Paul's military donors are "fake soldiers".

Not too different from when he accused me of lying, but declined to specify what I was lying about.

Unfortunately, Jeremy seems very small by posting things such as this.

I said, phony, not fake.. There is a difference..
Mis-stating facts.. Not lying... You are very good at changing words out of context.
Unfortunately you seem to get off on grabbing only those parts of statement I make in other threads and inserting them at will into other threads in an effort to change their meaning..

Thankfully most of the people in either thread are the same and recognize this pattern of deceit.

    Shame on you...

    Still waiting for that apology.

    Read into what?

Really, I was not aware I was giving you that impression personally..

Thank you.. Most are approved same day, unless more work is required, ie moving to a more appropriate category, correcting mis-spelllings, etc..

From 1985 thru 1991 I worked a job wherein I felt the need to carry a concealed weapon. I believe it saved my life twice. I now feel the need to do so again. I am applying for a licence to do just that. I wonder what I will do if they tell me no.

In the context of this discussion I am referring to definition number 2 as well as 5 and 6.

There are man different definitions for phony depending on the context in which the word is used.. I am referring specifically to those that would falsify, fabricate, deceive... Phony..

Fake to me would mean, they pretended... I am not talking about those that pretend, I am talking about those that intentionally deceive people in order to further their agenda..

Might want to google the "phony solider" to see what I mean.

Have you ever started a thread with anything positive about your country? Is it all just hatred towards it? Compared to a few months ago, you at least now pretend to care about it under the guise of ceaselessly attacking it. Before, you talked about how bad it was, how much you hated it, and how you wanted to move.

    Would Bob Dylan be proud?

I'm pro Gun Control myself. Yes. I do not think the American fascination with guns is a good thing. I do not think it's something to be proud of.

While I understand the right to bear arms in the constitution I do not think they had in mind the weapons of today at that time. Technological advances cannot be ignored when considering such subjects in my opinion.

Would anyone agree that a private citizen should have the right to keep nuclear weapons in their house? I would hope not. Now obviously that's an extreme example. But I similarly do not think there is any reason why someone should have an assault weapon in their house.

A nuke perhaps not, an assault weapon, 100% absolutely. What good will a shot gun do for the intent of the 2nd amendment?

I will just make a laser gun. Quiet, powerful, deadly, useful, almost invisible as far as where the "shot" was fired from....

(and for those of you who do not know much about lasers - do some research before you try to make fun of me or you will be laughed at.)
