This stuff is bound to happen when combatants blend in with the civilian population.

And could you kindly enlighten me with those 'motives' you're talking about? India has only one motive and that is to get rid of those terrorists who've been crossing borders ever so regularly now. Everyone and his dog knows that even Pervez Musharraff couldn't get the entire area of Pakistan under his control. A significant amount of the country is still under the clutches of tribals and talibans who've been a terror to even Pakistan troops.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damadola_airstrike

On January 13, 2006 U.S. aircraft fired missiles into the Pakistani village of Damadola (Urdu: ڈمہ ڈولا ) in the Bajaur (Urdu: باجوڑ ) tribal area, about seven kilometres (4.5 miles) from the Afghan border, killing at least 18 people. Originally the Bajaur tribal area government claimed that at least four foreign members of al-Qaeda were among the dead. U.S. and Pakistani officials now say that none of those al-Qaeda leaders perished in the strike and that only local villagers were killed.[1] The attack targeted Ayman al-Zawahiri, purportedly second-in-command of al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden, who was thought to be in the village.

nobody seems to mention that the "enemy troops" mostly consist of kids who had nothing to eat and were probably force drafted because of phoney US foreign policy and its "war efforts"...they make it sound like some sort of volunteer army but its not like in america you cant just live off of social security and let others work for you...you join the army of you starve or get shot...

us mercenaries (you cant exactly call well payed troops : "soldiers"?) love to forget that they are in fact on foreign soil and that their action forces a counter reaction and that them kids would have probably been farming land if the US mercenaries aviation had not bombed the crap out of the region with its warcraft imperialistic ideas...

they love to make it sound like people in 3rd world countries have nothing better to do with ther lives than to take on the US soldiers of fortune and their high tech murder machine...

the truth is they just offed 20 people...killed in their own country by foreign guns for hire ...

We admit that some terrorists are there on Afghanistan border. iThose are not muslims because in Islam Muslims are not allowed to do so.

Very good article on the strike.

Can you say unintended consequences? When will our foreign policy leaders realize that war, bribes and extortion do not make friends (or progress)?
