There isn't too much difference between Carter and Obama.

Carter tried to be popular with the Euro-trash. In the end, the Soviet Union was breathing down are necks and South of the Border had more communist guerillas than fleas on a dog. Hanging out with the cool kids -- Fidel, Chavez, and Ortega isn't going to make America safer. On the economic front, the Obama spending is unsustainable. The US doesn't have the money to fund $2 trillion a year in deficits. Let alone pay for the interest. During the Carter Presidency, the economy didn't crash until the 4th year of his presidency in 1980.

Obama believes (1) make friends with our enemies (2) Government is the solution to our problems.

Reagan came on the scene with to messages (1) The Soviet Union is an "evil empire" and (2) Government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem.

So the question is whether Obama is "Carter" or "Reagan"?

How come obama supporters are quick to say that anybody who supported GW or is a republican is a total moron. The same feeling is on Digg.com...anti republican about 95% of the time. Reminds me of those Mac/PC commercials...I love how Apple gets away with poking fun at people because they are "different." Sounds like prejudice to me ;)

Why do people bash TExas so much? Is it because we are one of the top countries in Education? Is it because we still have help wanted signs up in our businesses? Is it because our land prices are so cheap? Is it because we love guns? Is it because most of the state is religious (not I)? Or is it because we are the only state that could sustain ourselves as a country? How about, being the only state that was a country? Is it because we still believe in an honest days work for an honest days pay?

On a side note, Hillary isn't much liked here, maybe that is why State is said that lol.

And Zibblu, we don't need to split our state up into smaller ones, we're strong enough just how we are.

And Austin isn't really Texas IMO. You should of came a little farther south. San Antonio is a much better city. Not as many annoying college kids (we have UT San Antonio here, but, its small) GREAT Mexican food, and the Riverwalk. You can't go wrong with the Riverwalk lol.

And.....I hate Perry, he put in toll roads .

I don't live in San Antonio itself, I live in a small rodeo town outside of it, but, go there at least once a week or so. And, the best thing about it, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, during the month of Feb. Usually the first 2-3 weeks of it.

Its because their jealous. The only people that are not jealous of Texans, are the ones from Alaska. Nowhere else in the USA can it take 2 - 3 days to drive across a state. In the east you start out in the piney woods, and in the west its desert.

Texas fought for and won its independence all by itself. While it took all 13 colonies to beat the british. The colonies should have founded Texas first and then fought the british. If that would have happened, britian would be a state instead of a country.

What are the kinds of people that made Texas great - the people like Jim Bowie. While on his way to the Alamo, Jim stopped on the Texas side of the Sabine river and freed all of his slaves. He knew that he was going to die at the Alamo, so he gave his slaves their freedom before he died. The republic of Texas was founded with the rifle, and tempered with the blood of patriots.

My family has been in Texas since before 1836. My mother, my grandmother, and my great grandmother are certified Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Meaning my family is one of the families that founded Texas.

There is no other state or country in the world I would rather live in, then the state of Texas.

Is this because Texas (I heard) never officially joined the union?

If the above (BRUm's post) is true, then Bush was an illegal president. He was elected for the lulz.

lol. Technically, Texas has nothing in its state constitution about the right ot secede. However, it states it is subject only to the Constitution of the US. Not the Congress. Not the President. Only the constitution. A little info about the joining of Texas and the Retards (I mean, the union) :D http://www.texasdiscussion.com/about-texas/
