The US removed 550 metric tons of "yellowcake" — the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment in a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.

I'm so hungry, I could go for any kind of cake. Even yellowcake.

"U.N. inspectors documented and safeguarded the yellowcake, which had been stored in aging drums and containers since before the 1991 Gulf War. There was no evidence of any yellowcake dating from after 1991, the official said."

Yellowcake is yellowcake. There's now way to prove when the got it. But Saddam had 550 tons of the stuff.

The removal of the yellow cake will keep the citizens of Iraq safe for years to come. The yellow cake could have posed a serious health risk for years to come if it were not removed.

Good article: "The truth about the Iraqi-Niger "yellowcake" nexus." that questions why did Iraq's top man nuclear weapons diplomacy and negotiations, Wissam al-Zahawieon, travelled to Niger.

So was this "official" lying? If there's "now way to prove when he got it" (I assume you meant "no way to prove when he got it") then why didn't he mention that instead of stating there's no evidence of any dating from after 1991?

TK, please give it up. We're so tired of people providing proof and demanding logic. It's a real downer when we are forced to confront reality. Can't you just believe in the boogeyman and use that as justification to kill innocent people, just like everyone else?
