US Publishers please answer... Can you change your Tax ID?

Can you change your Tax ID after you signup? Actually I want to open an account in my friends name from here in india but he didnt give me his Tax ID and now he is in a tour and will be back after 2 days but i want to open the account now itself I have his address and tel. but no Tax ID. So i just want to know whether I could change the Tax ID later when he is back... I will use a fake ID now....

 

You have to use the Contact Us form and ask specifically to change it. It can be done, but it's not quick nor easy on CJ's part.

 

Okay thanks for that.. then its better to wait for 2 days so that i will signup with correct tax id...

 

hey I have just checked my account and find that Tax ID (SSN/EIN) can be edited by us and doesnt require to contact them.... but that account is related to India... now can anyone from US tell me whether you are able to change ur Tax ID (SSN/EIN)........

To check that logon to CJ ACCOUNT MANAGER then click the Administrative Settings under Account settings there you have the Payment Information.. and also an Edit button just tell me whether you could edit that Tax ID (SSN/EIN)

 

No, we are not able to change our Tax ID which is why I said what I did.

 

Its okay i have opened another account with the correct Tax ID thanks anyway...

 

YOU CAN change your tax id - you just have to email supprt and request it and they will do it. they did it for me.

 

It's probaby better to ask them to change it than to open a new account. It's no big deal, I'm sure they change lots of tax ID's every day.

 

I said this above as well. We just can't change it at will and must you support to do it.
