This statement is flawed. You seem to think the US is the world. China also exports lots of products to other countries - I haven't had a day go by where I haven't seen 'Made in China' printed on a product.

By 2050 I think China/India will be the new superpowers (by which time the US will have started a war against one/both)

China has a 12.5% market penetration in USA as of 2003, more than the entire European Union (that is only 10.6%), that is increasing every year. So we can assume it is now about 18%+ now.
Now taking in consideration that US market is pretty huge, 18% penetration means a lot.

If US economy goes down, then Chinese export will suffer a huge loss directly.
Many developing country rely on US economy, in case of US economy failure those countries will suffer as well, thus Chinese export to those countries will be affected.

So its in China's(and world's) best interests that US economy DO NOT fail...
Anyone denying that, lives in delusion.

America's influence on the rest of the world is definately waning to an extnnet and is likely to be more the case in the future. This is because Chian and India (alsmots half of the world population are becomeing self sufficient) and have vast consumer markets taht they can rely less and less on exports. Of courze they can export to many other countries that also have increasing purchasing power.

China's economy is directly tied to ours. Why do you think China is in such a panic over all the bad imports that have been coming here lately? Their economy is almost entirely export based. If this country, or the world, loses faith in their products; its very bad news for China.

I agree that China is an export based market but the fact is the world is bigger than the US. Just wait till they get into Africa more....

Lose faith? I think they need to gain the faith first..

I, for one, try to refrain from the products labeled as 'Made in China'

I read somewhere the other day that almost 60% of revenues generated by American listed companies come from abroad.

If India and China grow as big as predicted by 2050 without proper energy and environment politics, the population is what matters here not the names, then stats won't be such a big deal since we won't have a planet left.

Right. Since they hold almost nothing sacred, he thinks it would be a threat to fundies. Of course, the big problem is, it would also affect a bunch of legitimate Islamic people who aren't involved in terrorism. For that reason the statement is pretty stupid.
